Introduction:
The Liberal Journal of Management & Social Science (LJMSS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Plagiarism is a serious violation of these standards and undermines the principles of scholarly communication. This Plagiarism Policy outlines the expectations, procedures, and consequences related to plagiarism in submissions to LJMSS.
Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism is the act of using someone else's work, ideas, or intellectual property without proper acknowledgment or permission and presenting it as one's own. This includes, but is not limited to, copying and pasting text from other sources, paraphrasing without proper citation, and using someone else's data or ideas without giving appropriate credit.
Types of Plagiarism:
- Copying and Pasting: Reproducing verbatim text from another source without proper citation.
- Paraphrasing: Rewriting someone else's work without proper attribution.
- Self-Plagiarism: Submitting one's own previously published work without proper citation or permission.
- Data Plagiarism: Using someone else's research data or results without proper acknowledgment.

- Paraphrased content must be appropriately reworded and cited.
- Authors should explicitly state if they are using their previously published work, and proper citation must be provided.

Consequences of Plagiarism:
If plagiarism is detected in a submitted manuscript, the following actions may be taken:
- The manuscript may be rejected without further review.
- The author(s) may be prohibited from submitting to LJMSS for a specified period.
- The author's institution may be notified.
